NIGHT VISION ACTIVE SYSTEM TITAN 740
For
long-range surveillance operations at night unfavorable
weather conditions such as rain , fog or through thin
foliage. The device may allow observation where all other
methods have failed.
FEATURES:
TITAN 740 can operate in either active or passive modes
in natural low-light conditions. Passive mode is used in
good atmospheric conditions. Active mode increases the
observation range in poor visibility due to rain, snow,
mist, fog, or through thin foliage.
OPERATION PRINCIPLE
TITAN 740 operation is based on a semiconductor laser
radiating very short pulses roughly 30 metres long. Upon
reached an object these are reflected and received by an
image intensifier tube which is similarly pulsed,
allowing the received signal to be viewed in the
eyepiece. Adjustment of the timing between the laser and
the image intensifier also adjusts the distance of 30
metres field within which objects can be seen, whilst at
all other distances the system is blind. A digital
indication of the distance of 30 metres field is
provided. The design thus excludes the effects of
back-scattering from semitransparent particles in the
atmosphere such as mist, fog, light rain. The interfering
affect of distant lights is also reduced.Unlike radar
systems which give a point image TITAN 740 allows
identification of objects under observation, and
visualisation of their surroundings.
